Tuxbury has real experience to serve as our auditor
Scott “Tux” Tuxbury is the only candidate for auditor with real experience to benefit Montana consumers and businesses. He wants the job for the right reasons, has experience in all the right areas, and won’t spend his time trying to get a job in D.C. He’s committed to serving Montanans for the full term if he’s elected. Tuxbury has worked with consumers, insurance companies and state officials for years, working to ensure we have choices and that Montana laws are observed. We’ve worked with him over 30 years and his honesty and integrity are above reproach. He won’t need any on the job training and will be ready to work day one.

Downing, Nicol, Tuxbury face off in GOP auditor primary: Scott ‘Tux’ Tuxbury
"I think the main reason is that I'm running for it is the fact that I'm very qualified for this position," Tuxbury said. "I've been training most of my life for this job and I have this absolute desire to do that job and that job alone. I got primarily into the race because I didn't see the viability of the other candidates who were in there." He said he spent 37 years working in the insurance world - all aspects of it - in Montana. "My whole life has pretty much revolved around insurance," he added. "Besides the fact that I've worked throughout Montana throughout this 37 years here in this business, I've traveled to every single county, I've been in every city of Montana and so I know and understand the needs of all the Montana consumers when it comes to their insurance needs, so this is something I know each and every aspect of it."

Tuxbury Has the Experience and Ethics We Need
Not many people know about the Montana auditor’s job. It’s a funny name for an important elected state office that works to enforce laws and see that Montanans get a fair shake from insurance companies and investment fund managers. I’m concerned about the cost of insurance premiums and limited choices we have for coverage. We need someone with experience to work with everyone involved—the consumers, insurance companies, and the regulators and policy makers—to get things done. Scott Tuxbury has that experience. I have talked with him and encourage you to do the same. When you do your homework, you will see that the other candidates just don’t have the experience, and they don’t know Montana. There IS a qualified Montanan in the race for Auditor. As a retired U.S. Army veteran, one whose family has called Montana home for five generations, I encourage you to put your vote behind the candidate with the experience and ethics we need to do the job! Put Montana and Montanans first, vote Tux for state auditor.
